Our Mission/Vision Statement
Mission: Together, we are committed to the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
Vision: Consistent with the Vision of the National APIC, we will:
- Emphasize prevention and actively promote decreasing infection rates to the irreducible minimum
- Support appropriate standards set forth by regulatory agencies, infection prevention professional organizations, healthcare executives, payers and consumers.
- Promote the role of the Infection Prevention and Control Professional, thereby improving their recognition as a separate and distinct expert leader.
- Support infection prevention research and utilize evidence-based results for practice changes, product selection and pertinent decision-making.
- Function as a resource for Infection Prevention and Control in the region by providing consultation, education, coaching and mentorship.
- Participate in emergency preparedness related to infection prevention and control.
